I grew up on a farm in the Free State and I have more than 15 years of experience in the livestock and meat industry.
I started Swart Skaap as I have a passion for farming, quality meat and good food.
Swart Skaap’s focus is to deliver top quality lamb meat from the Karoo to all our clients.

Who We Are
Swart Skaap Meat Company provides high quality Karoo Lamb to our local Cape Town market, and we are committed to personal relationships, sincere customer service and quality meat.
We will accomplish this by forming close relationships with our customer’s as well as to learn their likes and dislikes. This will help differentiate us from large commercial stores as our wish is to personally serve our close family of customers.
Frozen Fresh
Our meat is frozen within a couple of days to preserve all those delicious Karoo Lamb flavour and nutrition to ensure that every braai tastes fresh.
The freezing process extends your shelf life and meat can last for several months. It is a completely natural preservative technique that requires no chemicals or artificial ingredients. Frozen is the new fresh.
Order and Delivery
Orders to be placed between the 1st and 25th of every month to secure your purchase.
We deliver your order to your door on the last weekend of every month (25th to 31st Monthly).
Free Delivery on all orders over R 1500.
R 50 delivery fee for orders below R 1500.
*Delivery areas include Cape Town and surrounding areas including the City Centre, Atlantic Seaboard, Northern Suburbs, Southern Suburbs and Table Bay (Orders outside these areas can take place on specific request).
